Costa Atlantica is a Spirit-class cruise ship owned and operated by Costa Crociere. She was built in 2000 by the Kvaerner Masa-Yards Helsinki New Shipyard in Helsinki, Finland.
At 85,700 GT and carrying 2,112 passengers, Costa Atlantica is a large resort ship that entered service in 2000 and has been based in Asia since 2006. The vessel offers “Cruising Italian Style.” The 10-deck atrium is stunning, and the indoor décor mixes classical Italy with contemporary features. Costa has come up with a trendy new image in Atlantica. The layout allows easy flow to public spaces, and there are several floors for dancing and socialising. Announcements come in English and Italian. The ship appeals to young and young-at-heart, who enjoy lots of noise, outdoor eating, and late nights. Costa places a high premium on families.
