NFA opens rice outlet for Aetas in Bataan

BALANGA CITY — At least 1000 Aeta families now have easy access to buy affordable rice after the provincial National Food Authority (NFA) opened a new outlet in Barangay Bangkal in Abucay town of this province.

“This is under our Tagpuan Day activity which is one of NFA’s distribution strategies intended for marginalized consumers in far-flung areas especially indigenous peoples to ensure that they can directly avail low-priced and good quality NFA rice at appointed day and time,” NFA provincial manager Adelaida Nuestro said.

“The accredited store is being managed by Zenaida Aquile who is a native of Magbikin tribe. NFA rice is sold here at Php 27 per kilo,” he added.
