WBB launches skills training program

Yamaha Motors Philippines was a major sponsor of the project, which was made possible through the efforts of Studer Trust, Social Ventures Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SVMPC), and PlayAsia.com. The technical training center is the only such center in Olongapo and Zambales yet.

Osugi earlier presided over the ribbon cutting ceremony to formally open the project, and signed a Memorandum of Agreement with SVMPC, represented by chairman Edgar Luis Sevilla; and Barangay East Bajac Bajac, represented by barangay captain Anthony C. Deldio; and turned over Yamaha motorcycle units, tools and equipment to the barangay.

A first batch of over 50 trainees have already signed up for the project, which will be open not only to the residents of the barangay but also the rest of Olongapo, Zambales, and Bataan.
