Gordon College claims the Championship in the 2018 ICDL Digital Challenge National Finals

Gordon College CCS won in the National Finals in the 2018 ICDL Digital Challenge last June 8, 2018, held at Treston International College, Taguig City. Mr. Dieco Von Velasco, BSCS 3rd year, bested other competitors among the Top 40 finalist from different colleges and universities around the country.

The national round was composed of two (2) rounds; the Elimination and Final Round. The Elimination Round covers exams on Online Essentials and Online Collaboration for 45 minutes each to select the Top 10 competitors to proceed to the Final Round.
The Final Round covers Intermediate Spreadsheet and Intermediate Presentation exams for 45 minutes each and the top 2 students with the highest average score will represent the Philippines in the Grand Finals of the 2018 ICDL Digital Challenge to be held on September 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Together with Mr. Velasco, Mr. Jerald Megino from Southern Luzon State University will represent the Philippines in the Grand Finals.

The Top 2 students received a trophy, a Huawei Y6 smartphone, a round-trip ticket to Bangkok and a 2-nights hotel accommodation courtesy of ICDL Asia.
Mr. Velasco was joined by his co-finalists from Gordon College CCS namely; Cedric Labrador (BSIT), Jeremy Arrabe (BSIT), Ian Sison (BSIT), Daniel Joshua Umandap (BSIT), Lance Asiatico (BSIT) and Vanessa Manlapat (BSIT) with their coach Mr. Arnie Armada.
