Unisea opts for Hanjin Subic aframaxes

Adam Lemos-led Unisea of Greece has ordered its first tanker newbuilds since 2015. Brokers report the company has ordered two 113,000 dwt aframaxes at Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction yard in the Philippines. The ships will deliver in 2020 and are costing $47m each.

The canny Greek owner has spent most of its time in the intervening period since its last tanker order three years ago focusing on buying up bargain secondhand bulkers with a focus on supermaxes.
