Ka Jun Natiola of SBIFARMFA, takes a moment from telling stories about how the river was in earlier days. According to him, much of the degradation came as a result of the ashfall from the Mt. Pinatubo explosion in 1991 which made the waters shallow and the subsequent increase of residential units, and the waste products that go along with it, along the riverside.
