Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 5) — The Philippine Coast Guard is currently searching for an aircraft reportedly missing near the waters of Samal, Bataan.

The aircraft was reportedly piloted by two Indian nationals–an instructor pilot and a student pilot.

Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Spokesperson Eric Apolonio added that the aircraft has been missing since yesterday.

“A two-seater Cessna C152 training aircraft with registry number RP-C 2724 operated by Fliteline Aviation School went missing after it departed Plaridel airport at 7:20 a.m. and landed at Subic at 7:51 a.m. for a touch-and-go landing maneuver but went missing on his way back to Plaridel airport since yesterday,” Apolonio said.

The flying school has also dispatched two aircrafts to assist with the Coast Guard’s search and rescue operation.

The search will continue tomorrow morning, Apolonio added.
