It has been an amazing year of events: we partied at the Olongapo City Mardi Gras, cleared trash from the waterfront during Coastal Cleanup, and donated blood at the blood drive (just to mention a few). And of course, we also had fun contests, celebrated new business developments in the Freeport, and shared Subic Bay-centric news and updates.
We are proud and happy to have celebrated our first birthday with the kids of St. Joseph College’s Pastoral Care for Children (special shout-out to Mr. Jessan de Castro).
Our hearts were warmed seeing that a hundred children managed to make it to the venue despite the extremely inclement weather. Dressed in their cute raincoats and tiny boots, the children were all more than ready to play around with us.
After a short dance number from our team, the kids spent the next hour and a half playing a variety of parlour games and winning loot bags. Their bright disposition made us all forget the pounding rain outside the hall.
We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the children themselves also prepared a song and dance number for us. Their hearty performance was very impressive and made for a perfect activity right before their meals were served. Before the program ended, gift bags filled with some school supplies and snacks were given out to each of the children.
Overall,It was a tiring whirlwind of planning and preparation, but seeing the glowing smiles on the faces of children made it all worth it.
We would have not have been able to do all of these without the support from family, friends, and supporters.
Thank you for all the support and trust in us on our first year and here’s to an even MoreFun year!
This year, we are looking forward to accomplishing more and are counting on your support to do so. Let’s all do our part in making Subic Bay as great as it can be!
