Along the northern end of Barrio Barretto the quality of the Subic beach resorts have been improving dramatically over the past 3 years. Before then 3 star quality was about as much as a traveler could hope for anywhere in the Barretto area.
Starting around the corner toward Baloy beach, Mangroves was the first to set the new standard with a world class accommodation, restaurant and wonderful swimming facility elevated on the beach front.
Back on the main street iCove continued the trend developing the first modern offering among the ageing hotel buildings. Mango’s then changed hands to a much more active owner who raised the standard with a renovation, new rooms and a new facade with cheerful signage.
Soon to follow with a was By the Sea with a renovation and expansion. All these developments are in the same two kilometers on the west (ocean) side of the road.

It seems that these improvements in the area caught the attention of an experienced hotelier from Clark – The Central Park Tower. Currently under construction is the all new Central Park Tower Barretto Subic Bay this Hotel is set to be a real game-changer.
Rumours about the hotel included talk of rates around the 9,000 Peso per night, and even speak of the owners seeking a Casino licence.
The foreman on the job said in only a very short time, actually July they plan to have the first three floors open. That is only two short months away which is arguably very optimistic.
We contacted the Central Park Clark with questions about the development, however they were unavailable for comment and we patiently wait their email and telephone reply.
